Welcome to Huntsville Theological Institute. We’re excited that you found us and hope you’ll carefully consider our program.
HTI is about the Bible. Our mission is to promote biblical literacy and theological reflection in the evangelical community, and all of our courses support these two goals.
As many have noted, today’s evangelical community is rapidly losing its biblical literacy, and with it the power of its convictions. The result is that the evangelical community inevitably follows the lead of the world. Biblical literacy must be restored if the church is to reach the next generation.
But restored biblical literacy is not enough. Such issues as gender identity, gay marriage, the dissolution of the family, and the aggressive promotion of atheism are ideological in their nature, and ideological problems demand reasoned theological responses. To lead the church in today’s society, leaders at all levels must be theologically competent as well as biblically literate.
For these reasons, I encourage you to enroll in our two-year Bible diploma program. Its content and layout will prepare you to face these challenges with confidence. Whether you’re a church leader, teacher, or parent, our program is for you!
Don’t think, however, that the program is beyond your reach. We’ve worked hard to make it informative, relevant, easy to understand, and … fun! For instance, you’ll learn:
- Insights into ancient cultural practices that make the Bible come alive.
- The contemporary relevance of one of the Bible’s most overlooked books.
- Why we have four gospels.
- How the Nicene and Chalcedonian creeds relate to our lived Christian experience.
With this in mind, take a look at the detailed course descriptions. Then give us a call. We’d love to answer your questions and start you on your path to greater usefulness in the work of the Kingdom.
