Huntsville Theological Institute Diploma Program
Welcome to Huntsville Theological Institute (HTI). We’re excited that you found us!
Our two-year Bible Diploma Program is designed to train the biblically literate and theologically competent workers needed to minister to the church today and lead it into the future. Is the Lord calling you for such a ministry?
The need in the church is great. Many have noted that today’s evangelical community is rapidly losing its biblical literacy and with it the power of its convictions. If this trend continues the evangelical community will increasingly adopt the values of the world and become just like it. Biblical literacy must be restored if the church is to confront the encroaching culture and reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Restoring biblical literacy is the first step, but it is not enough. Such issues as gender identity, gay marriage, the dissolution of the family, multiculturalism, and the aggressive promotion of atheism are ideological in their nature, and ideological problems demand reasoned theological responses. To lead the church in today’s society, leaders at all levels need theological competency as well as biblical literacy.
Our two-year Bible program has been carefully designed to give you the Biblical knowledge and theological understanding that you’ll need to have a fruitful ministry at home and in your church, whether as a small group leader, youth worker, Sunday School teacher, or a concerned parent. You’ll graduate having a firm grasp on the story line of the Bible, the messages of the books of the Bible that speak most directly to the challenges of today, and a deepened understanding of vital Christian doctrines. And, our one-night-per-week classes make it convenient and fun to learn the Word of God and to deepen your walk with the Lord.
For these reasons, I strongly encourage you to enroll in our program. Whether you’re a church leader, teacher, or parent, this program is for you!
Don’t think, however, that the program is beyond your reach. We’ve worked hard to make it informative, relevant, easy to understand, and … fun! For instance, you’ll learn:
- Insights into ancient cultural practices that make the Bible come alive.
- The contemporary relevance of one of the Bible’s most overlooked books.
- Why we have four gospels.
- The history and continuing significance of the early church creeds.
- And much, much more!
With this in mind, take a look at the detailed course descriptions below and then give us a call. We’d love to answer your questions and start you on your path to greater usefulness in the work of our King.
